Reldbase

Reldbase is a C++ interface to PostgreSQL, based on “The Third Manifesto”, as described in Databases, Types, and the Relational Model: The Third Manifesto, Third Edition (2007) by C. J. Date and Hugh Darwen and Database Explorations (2010) by the same authors. It is based on work done in Python as part of the Pyrseas project and then implemented in C++ as part of Perseid.

It provides a set of library modules:

• reltypes binds attribute and reltuple together: a relational attribute is a name and a type, and a tuple is a set of attributes (its heading) with associated values.

• reldb is a low-level database connection wrapper that executes SQL statements and presents result rows as tuples, parameterizing queries with tuple values.
